Little known, the term “Red Bull” was first coined for the Singapore market as a literal English translation of Kratingdaeng when first imported in 1982. The late creator and visionary behind the brand, Chaleo Yoovidhya, foresaw Singapore as a gateway to Asia and recruited Jirasak Samathivathanachai to help internationalise Red Bull while the rest, as they say, is history.
